Thermo Forma products are industry standards – if you’ve worked in a biotech, biology, chemistry, cannabis, life sciences, or other type of laboratory there is a pretty solid chance you’ve used Thermo equipment.

The Thermo Forma 3940 isn’t as common as some other run-of-the-mill incubators though. First of all, this is a giant, with 29 cubic feet of storage capacity and a chamber measuring 31”W x 27”D x 60”H. Second, this is a refrigerated incubator offering not only heating but cooling, with a wide temperature range from 0°C to 60°C, making this an ideal model to use for drug stability studies, shelf life for testing packaged products, and insect and other biological research studies. Third, this isn’t just an incubator but an environmental chamber, with active relative humidity control up to 95%RH.

Thermo Forma 3940 refrigerated environmental chamber

The Thermo 3940 also utilizes direct airflow system for an ideal growth environment. The proven design includes a positive pressure feed plenum and a negative pressure return plenum. This combination directs air across the surface of each solid shelf, rather than vertically, top down. Even when filled with samples or equipment, each shelf receives a consistent flow of conditioned air for optimum temperature uniformity and recovery. By design, the feed plenum cannot be blocked by the chamber’s contents, so the airflow can’t be disrupted.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests, please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.

So if you’re looking for a large refrigerated humidity chamber we’re happy to provide additional information on the Thermo Forma 3940. Please call or email today for pricing and availability, and thanks!
