The Thermo Scientific 3950 reach-in incubator is the most popular large capacity incubator in our inventory. For years we have been touting the ease of use, durability, and dependability of this model to our customers, and along with the classic Thermo 3110 the Thermo 3950 is one of the most ubiquitous CO2 incubators currently on the market.

The Thermo 3950 reach-in incubator is a large capacity incubator provides a generous 29 cubic foot chamber for culturing large volumes of patient samples for bacterial growth, performing short-term growth studies and work with large volume products. The temperature range can be adjusted from ambient +5°C to 60°C and the CO2 range from ambient to 20%. Relative humidity can be adjusted up to 80%. The Thermo 3950 features elevated relative humidity to prevent product desiccation in medium term cultures and three different water fill options. The heated, tripled-pane glass door minimizes condensation and provides users with a clear view of the chamber. Two through-wall access ports can be used to run sensors, probes, or power cords for small instruments into the chamber, or sealed.

Recognizing that temperature uniformity is absolutely critical for optimal culturing, the Thermo 3950 is designed with a directed horizontal laminar airflow system with positive and negative plenums so that each shelf receives a consistent flow of conditioned air for optimum temperature uniformity. The air feed plenum cannot be accidentally blocked by the chamber contents, leading to temperature variations that can damage the chamber’s contents. So the Thermo 3950 delivers consistent temperature uniformity and recovery even with large product loads and low output, heat-generating equipment in the chamber.

The water reservoir used for humidity generation is triangular-shaped and side mounted to the interior chamber wall and can be filled by either an in-house pure water supply, manual feeding, or gravity feeding methods. For best operation of the incubator, sterilized distilled, demineralized or de-ionized water should be used in the humidity reservoir. The incubator is equipped with a liquid level float switch that detects low water levels in the humidity reservoir and produces an alarm condition. As all applications do not require humidity, this alarm can be disabled.

If you’re looking for a large capacity CO2 incubator for your lab please give us a call or email today about the Thermo 3950. Thanks!

We’re happy to add another option for our customers to our inventory: Sartorius Proline Plus pipette sets, brand new and unused, with a manufacturer’s warranty. We’re currently featuring four different sets with a variety of volumes.

Sartorius focuses on ergonomics, user-friendliness, high accuracy and efficiency, when developing tools for pipetting. Their developers aim to design pipettes which cause as little strain on the user’s hand as possible yet ensuring highest accuracy and precision. The forces you need for operating and holding Sartorius pipettes are very low. The handles are designed to fit for various hand sizes and for different holding positions, to ensure the most comfortable grip for both right and left-handed users. Their sophisticated and compact design makes Sartorius pipettes to feel a natural extension of the arm and reduces the stress leading to injuries like repetitive strain injury.

The Proline Plus mechanical pipettes are amongst the lightest pipettes available on the market. The light plunger movement and Optiload feature with spring loaded tip cones enable tip mounting and ejection with a low force. Some of the other features include a large, easy-to-read volume display that minimizes the risk of volume-setting errors; thermal insulation of internal parts which improves accuracy in ling pipetting series; and durable and long-lasting materials that are highly chemical and UV resistant.

Each set of Sartorius Proline Plus Pipettes that we sell includes a linear stand, matching Optfit pipette tips, and pipette holders.

The Sartorius Proline Plus Pipette 4-pack 20 LH-728672 set includes four pipettes, one each of volumes 0.5-10 µL, 2-20 µL, 20-200 µL, and 100-1000 µL.

The Sartorius Proline Plus Pipette 4-pack 100 LH-728673 set includes four pipettes, one each of volumes 0.5-10 µL, 10-100 µL, 20-200 µL, and 100-1000 µL.

The Sartorius Proline Plus Pipette 5-pack 10 LH-728674 set includes five pipettes, one each of volumes 0.5-10 µL, 10-100 µL, 20-200 µL, 100-1000 µL, and 500-5000 µL.

The Sartorius Proline Plus Pipette 5-pack 20 LH-728675 set includes five pipettes, one each of volumes 2-20 µL, 10-100 µL, 20-200 µL, 100-1000 µL, and 500-5000 µL.
