1.Full Testing and Warranty

Our industry trained technicians thoroughly inspect each BSC and produce a written performance review of every cabinet prior to delivery, including inflow velocity measurements, downflow velocity measurements, and HEPA filter integrity testing, to ensure that the cabinet will meet NSF-49, OSHA, and the manufacturer’s operation specifications. We’re happy to provide decontamination documents and copies of test records prior to shipping. American Instrument Exchange also offers a 90-day warranty on all bio hoods and filters, so that you can be assured that the unit will meet the needs of your laboratory and will be ready to use upon delivery.

2. New HEPA filters

New filters plus the cost of installation can cost well over $1,000, depending on the make and model of BSC. We install new HEPA filters in every biosafety cabinet and clean bench prior to shipment. If you’re purchasing a used biosafety cabinet without filters, there’s no way to know for sure that it works properly. If you’re buying a used biosafety cabinet with old filters, you may not be able to determine the age of the filters or safe operating time remaining, plus there are the concerns of contamination. Installing new filters is the best way for us to guarantee that each biosafety cabinet works to spec and is fully decontaminated.

3. Shorter lead time

All of the biosafety cabinets listed on our website are in stock and available and at any given time we have over 50 different models in stock, with multiple units for many of these models. While the lead time for a new unit directly from Baker, Thermo, Labconco, or other manufacturers can be six months or longer we can deliver a newly refurbished biosafety to your lab in as little as two weeks.

4. Delivery and set up services

We can safely ship biosafety cabinets anywhere in the country and for customers in Boston, Cambridge, and New England offer inside, white glove delivery. So not only will the movers bring the unit to your dock, they can bring it inside your lab, set it in place and on the stand. (Rate vary depending on location.)

5. Free certification

For customers in Greater Boston we provide your first on site certification free of charge. Just a little something extra we do to make sure our customers can get working quickly and inexpensively.
