If you’re looking for an ultracentrifuge, take a look at the Beckman Optima MAX-XP. The MAX-XP is ideal for applications requiring high speed and g-forces with volume flexibility, like viral vector gene delivery and nanoparticle applications. It also meets the needs of traditional laboratory applications, including separation of subcellular particles and protein purification and isolation. It’s fully compatible with a complete library of fixed-angle, swinging-bucket and unique near-vertical-tube (NVT) tabletop rotors. An ultracentrifuge is capable of separating high-molecular-weight compounds, viruses and subcellular particles for study. Max speed on the MAX-XP is 150,000 rpms while the max force is 1,000,000 x g.
We’ve recently received several biosafety cabinets, including 6’ wide Labconco Logic+ models, Baker SG503 models, and Nuaire NU540-400 models. All of these are being sold with stands and new HEPA filters installed by our technicians prior to shipment from our shop in Haverhill, MA. All of these are Class II Type A2 models, meaning they provide personnel, product, and environmental protection through filtered air, laminar or unidirectional air, and a motor blower. Room air is drawn in through the front grill of the cabinet. The air is pulled under the work surface and through a back wall plenum through a motor blower. This contaminated air is then pushed into the central plenum, where a small portion (30%) of air is exhausted out of the top of the cabinet through a HEPA filter. The remaining air (70%) is re-circulated back into the work zone through a HEPA filter in a laminar (unidirectional) pattern. The air then splits on the work surface, pulled through the back wall grill, around the edges of the work surface, and back through the front airflow grill, where it is pulled under the work surface to start the air recirculation process.

For those customers in the market for CO2 incubators we have several recent vintage Thermo Heracell VIOS 160i copper lined incubators. The VIOS CO2 incubators also have a protected humidity reservoir where directly heated water provides stable high relative humidity levels, preventing culture desiccation; a condensation-free inner chamber that prevents a breeding ground for contaminant; and 5X faster humidity recovery than traditional water pan designs. The direct heat chamber has adjustable, perforated shelving, and a reversible exterior door for added flexibility. The in-chamber HEPA continuously filters the entire chamber air volume every 60 seconds, and ISO 5 clean room air quality is achieved in the culture chamber within five minutes.
If you’re looking for fume hoods, check out these 6’ Mott units, complete with base cabinets and epoxy work surface. These are designed to meet most laboratory Constant Air Volume (CAV) or Variable Air Volume (VAV) requirements. This unit has a vertical rising sash and an automatic compensating upper by-pass. The corner posts pre-punched to accept a maximum of 5 plumbing fittings per post and there is a removable interior access panel in each side wall, as well as exterior removable side panels. The sash is vertical raising only and is constructed with a chain and sprocket pulley system.
We also have several Thermo CryoPlus models in stock. These autofill cryogenic storage chambers provide accurate control and autofill capability without complicated programming feature top-mounted control panels that allow easy access to the CryoPlus’ microprocessor controller for programming. Two independent, flexible gaskets reduce the migration of moisture into the chamber and reduce icing. 24 tricolor LEDs continuously display actual liquid nitrogen level and high-level/low-level setpoints.
