In order to protect both our staff and customers during the COVID-19 pandemic we are working in staggered shifts with reduced numbers of staff in order to observe social distancing protocols. We’re disinfecting our offices and warehouse daily and taking other precautions to provide for the health and safety of our staff and vendors. For the time being we’ve closed the warehouse and office to visitors but we’re still able to ship orders quickly and efficiently. We’re also continuing to receive equipment.
For example, we recently received a Baker Ruskinn InvivO2 400 cell culture workstation. This unit is designed to mimic the oxygen physiology of your subject matter, giving you the reassurance of precise results under controlled conditions. It allows you to isolate cells in a chamber that accurately maintains and controls temperature, humidity, oxygen and carbon dioxide. These models are hard to come by so we’re lucky to have it in stock!
Another unit we’re excited about is Labconco FreeZone 12 lyophilizer with stoppering tray dryers. This model is in great condition and is designed for moderate aqueous sample loads. The system removes a maximum of 8 liters of water in 24 hours and features brushed stainless steel and powder-coated steel exterior; stainless steel collector and coil; LCD that displays system operating parameters, set-up parameters and alarm messages; 1 hp CFC-free refrigeration system; red alarm light; LED vacuum and temperature wave graphs; patented moisture sensor; vacuum control/break valve; rear-mounted RS-232 port; automatic start-up switch for collector cool-down and vacuum pull-down with manual override switches; hot gas defrost and switch; and a retractable collector drain line. Labconco is one of our favorite manufacturers to work with and we’re always happy to see their products. We also have a FreeZone Triad benchtop model available.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive balance we have several Ohaus models in stock. These are smaller toploading units with capacities up to 8.2kg. Get a basic weighing solution without hurting your wallet!
Another one of our favorites recently came in, too: the New Brunswick Innova 44 incubator shaker! These stackable, “pizza oven door” style incubator shakers has set a new industry standard and will provide years of dependable service in your lab. With a cast iron support and counter balanced drive designed to withstand high speed applications and heavy workloads, this is the shaker that you want to have when you can’t afford any down time.
If you need a glassware washer, check out the Miele G7783CD. This freestanding unit is a front-loading automatic machine for the efficient washing – neutralizing – rinsing – final rinsing of laboratory glassware. It can be operated on normal water supply. There are “AD” (aqua distillate) programs with final rinses using purified water (distilled, R.O., or deionized). The built in heater sterilizes glassware between 90°C and 93°C for ten minutes.
