We’ve recently received several biosafety cabinets, including Baker SterilGARD SG603s, Baker SG403s, Nuaire NU425-400s, Nuaire NU437-400s, Nuaire NU677-600s, and Thermo 1300 series. All of these are being sold with stands and new HEPA filters installed by our technicians prior to shipment from our shop in Haverhill, MA. All of these are Class II Type A2 models, meaning they provide personnel, product, and environmental protection through filtered air, laminar or unidirectional air, and a motor blower. Room air is drawn in through the front grill of the cabinet. The air is pulled under the work surface and through a back wall plenum through a motor blower. This contaminated air is then pushed into the central plenum, where a small portion (30%) of air is exhausted out of the top of the cabinet through a HEPA filter. The remaining air (70%) is re-circulated back into the work zone through a HEPA filter in a laminar (unidirectional) pattern. The air then splits on the work surface, pulled through the back wall grill, around the edges of the work surface, and back through the front airflow grill, where it is pulled under the work surface to start the air recirculation process.

The CERTOMAT CT Plus is the first CO2incubation shaker specifically designed for cultivation of mammalian cells. CO2concentration, temperature and humidity are kept constant due to advanced insulation and sealing. The isolation of the incubation chamber from the mechanical drive and control units prevents corrosion otherwise caused by the formation of carbonic acid.These CERTOMAT incubation shakers are fully programmable for all parameters. Up to 5 programs with 4 steps each and a pre-step can be stored and protected with a password.
For those customers in the market for ultralow temperature storage we have several Thermo Revco UxF freezers available. These are high efficiency models with excellent temperature uniformity and data recording functions. A high BTU reserve allow these units to maintain fast door recovery times protecting stored product integrity. A touch screen display allows easy user input to control between high efficiency and ultra-tight temperature modes.
We also have several Lab Crafters fume hoods in stock. These Air Sentry models are designed for high performance projects to provide the highest levels of safety, energy efficiency and performance. The Air Sentry features powder-coated paint finish and fiberglass-reinforced polyester side liners. It has a restricted bypass design for connecting to a Variable Air Volume or Low Flow Constant Air Volume exhaust system. They come standard with a combination sash that uses ¼” thick laminated safety glass, a chain and sprocket counterbalance system, horizontal sliding panels that utilize top-hung rollers, and aerodynamic frames and handles.
